There’s nothing quite like homemade bread, whether that’s a homemade sandwich loaf, burger buns, or flatbread, it’s truly hard to beat! Now take that outdoors… perfection!

This easy 2-ingredient flatbread recipes takes very little time and effort - no rising time required! It can be a fun way of making fresh, fire-grilled flatbread to be used for pitas, wraps, tacos, or like naan with curries. I’ve paired it with Greek-inspired chicken, homemade tzatziki, and veggies for a yummy, balanced, and satisfying meal!

Ingredients

As I’ve mentioned, the flatbread is simple:

  • flour

  • Greek yogurt

Depending on what toppings/fillings you’d like, the rest may vary. I chose:

  • Greek marinated chicken (herbs, lemon juice, olive oil, etc)

  • cucumbers and tomatoes

  • homemade tzatziki

Instructions

Start by combining the yogurt and flour in a bowl or container (I used my Stasher Bag Bowl instead of bringing a big mixing bowl) and mix until it comes together in a loose ball. Move to a floured cutting board and knead into a smooth ball, about 5 minutes.

Cut into 3-4 pieces (depending how big you want the flatbread), and roll out using a rolling pin or your water bottle (works just as well!). Be prepared to get a little messy with the flour!

Cook in a hot cast iron pan over the campfire using a grill grate for support (I used my Wolf and Grizzly), flipping over until both sides are golden brown. Cook your protein alongside the flatbread and then layer into your flatbread with your sauce and veggies for a delicious campfire meal. Enjoy!

I’m feeling extra grateful for these beautiful mountains I get to call my backyard and get to work in so I had to include the photo below from one of our favourite spots. May we never lose sight of the beauty we have right in front of us!
