Easiest Camp Burritos!
Using a store-bought dehydrated meal and a few simple fresh ingredients you can create super easy and delicious camp burritos in no time!
If you want to enjoy tasty burritos at camp but don’t want to go through the hassle of making them from scratch, this recipe is for you! However, if you’re interested in trying to make your own burrito mix (and dehydrating it for backpacking) then check out my Backpacking Burritos!
This recipe was created for a recent project with Jetboil, which was seriously so much fun. Shot in the beautiful foothills just outside of Calgary, Alberta. Check out the final project, here.
Gear used: Mini Mo, Summit Skillet & Jetboil Utensils
Dehydrated meal used: AlpineAire Chicken and Rice Burrito Bowl
There’s really nothing complicated about this meal. Prepare the dehydrated meal as instructed on the package. Slice your avocado and grate your cheese, and add to a tortilla wrap with a scoop or two of the burrito mix. Wrap it up tightly and pan fry for a minute on each side to seal and crisp it up! Easy peasy!
When selecting a dehydrated meal to use for this recipe, try and choose one that has rice and beans in it and/or has a Mexican spice profile. Some examples are:
