I made these a few weeks ago thinking I would take them skiing in the mountains with us… but then they became my daily mid-morning work snack and before I knew it, they were all gone before we went skiing again! Good thing they’re so easy to make cause we’re heading out for a week-long family ski trip next week and I’m thinking of whipping up a batch before we leave!

Made using gluten-free Stoked Oats, a great Canadian-based company from right here in Alberta! If you’re curious to try Stoked Oats, using my discount code CAMPKITCHEN10 when ordering through their website to get 10% off.

There’s really not much to this recipe. Literally throw everything into a bowl, mix it all up, and chill in the fridge for a bit. Then roll into 1-inch balls using your hands. And that’s all there is to it!

These are a great snack for activities like hiking, skiing, kayaking, biking, walking, etc. They provide long-lasting energy with carbohydrates, protein, and fats to help sustain you during those longer-duration activities.

Just a note: if you’re doing high intensity activities, go for more simple carbohydrate-based snacks like dried fruit, candy, or gels. These provide quick energy for our body to use right away.
