Homemade Spiced Apple Cider
The taste of the holidays in a cup! This warm spiced apple cider is the perfect cozy drink to snuggle up with this season.
The weather is getting chilly and that means we’re all looking for a warm and cozy drink to snuggle up next to the fire with. I love a good classic hot chocolate but this spiced apple cider is a welcomed change. It’s simple, doesn’t take much time to make, and can be prepared over the campfire or on a camp stove.
Ingredients
Unfiltered Apple Juice - I prefer unfiltered apple juice for a homemade cider because it’s a little less sweet and has a much stronger apple flavour.
Spices - this is the key to make this drink festive. A combination of spices like cinnamon, star anise, nutmeg, and ginger creates such a delicious flavour AND aroma.
Alcohol (optional) - if you’re wanting to “spice” this drink up even more, add a splash of your choice of whiskey, spiced rum, or bourbon.
